The leopards that we saw on safari had glorious pale green eyes that were fascinating. When we were watching this particular leopard, because of our viewpoint, we mostly could only see its very front, but every once in a while, its disembodied tail would rise up and wave around, which I found whimsical. According to our fabulous safari guide Siololo, the tail is used as a signal for communication. For example, a leopard mother exposes the white part of the tail to her little cubs when she is hunting to stop the cubs from spoiling the hunt.
