During the autumn 2017 Mediterranean cruise I took with my husband, his brother and his brother’s wife, while we were in Croatia, we had a fascinating tour of the beautiful historic city of Dubrovnik one morning. That afternoon, we hopped onto a small boat to visit the nearby lovely coastal beach resort town of Cavtat. Rather than being on the usual guided tour, we were able to wander around the charming town on our own and see the sights at our leisure. It was very peaceful there and we enjoyed the pleasantly relaxing change of pace. At one point, my husband and I strolled along the path at the edge of a small wooded peninsula adjacent to the town, which is where I saw the nearby kayaker below us in the sparkling brilliant blue waters of the Adriatic Sea.
